As a single foster-to-adopt parent, I often find that my "bio" parent friends just do not understand how foster/adoptive parenting is different. So, sometimes I cannot reach out to them for needed support. I thought it would be nice to have a MeetUp Group where we could get together and share our stories, successes and losses, and provide support to each other. In addition, we might build a circle of respite providers in the process.
